New project in Ukraine! Reconstructing a playground and sports site!

Global Playground is delighted to announce a partnership with Ukraine Focus and the City of Bucha in Bucha, Ukraine!
 
Global Playground is donating $15,000 to supplement the reconstruction of a public playground and sports site in the city of Bucha, Ukraine. The reconstructed space will include a zone for active sports, such as football, basketball, and “square,” a popular Ukrainian game, a small area for community gatherings, and a space for playing table tennis. The space will be available for all ages within the community to use.
 
The site is located in the center of the Sklozavod district, with approximately 6,000 people living within a 30-minute walking radius. A public transport stop is also located close to the site, allowing for convenient access for people throughout the city. After persevering through the recent effects of war, the City of Bucha is ready to rebuild and this restoration project will serve as a symbol of hope, joy, and resilience for the community, creating a safe space for children and families to heal.
