We're Off To A Great Start

Thanks to everyone who joined us at our Kickoff Party at Redemption Bar NYC last month! It was a huge success, bringing in about 100 people and raising $2,000 towards our first project in Uganda.

Over the course of the night, we enjoyed a lively discussion about the state of education in eastern Africa and how our partnership with Building Tomorrow in Uganda's Wakiso District will reach a community in desperate need of educational resources. We had a unique and informative gallery of posters that showcased some of the children that Global Playground met on a recent trip to Uganda. Key statistics and facts about the region were also included in the poster gallery.

Thanks to our hosts at Redemption for helping us throw a rocking party, and to everyone who joined us throughout the evening! Look for new events from Global Playground in 2007!
